About the Role

Description

As an Architectural Designer Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting new construction and renovation projects while working alongside experienced architects and engineers. You will collaborate with CDG’s project teams to develop practical, innovative architectural solutions for our clients while building your skills in design, documentation, and project delivery. Start date:  End of May 2027


Typical projects may include laboratories, offices, maintenance facilities, warehouses, and industrial process buildings. You may also have the opportunity to work on less typical projects such as pedestrian bridges, greenhouses, trailhead facilities, and substations.


Requirements for the Role:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or a related architectural design program- currently      enrolled in school as a Junior graduating in 2029, or a Senior graduating in 2028. 
  • Previous internship, studio, or project experience is preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of architectural design principles and construction documentation.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Revit and other architectural design software.
  • Ability to assist with developing architectural plans, elevations, details, and construction documents.
  • Interest in learning about building codes, safety requirements, materials, and construction methods.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals.
