About the Role
The position will support the JIB Accounting team part-time in Downtown Houston.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Helps to prepare manual journal entries for recurring expenses incurred by team
  • Helps to calculate payouts for wells
  • Helps to analyze and process non-operated JIBs
  • Works with JIB accountants on special projects
  • Handle special projects, as assigned
  • Proficient in anticipating matters at hand and initiating action without requiring direction or supervision
  • Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation
  • Supports company vision and mission

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with overflow work
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations, by keeping information confidential
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities without close supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: 
    • Required:  Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)

Education Requirements:

  • Required: Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent.
