Internship Project title:

Smart Factory – Automated Assembly or Final Test of Epitaxy Process Chamber

Traineeship Project Description:

  • The Trainee will carry out a continuous‑improvement project within the semiconductor equipment manufacturing line, targeting enhancements in assembly or final test performance. The project includes analyzing production and equipment data to identify bottlenecks, quality issues, or cost drivers, and developing improvement actions that reduce costs, improve quality, and shorten cycle time. The Trainee will also gain exposure to robotics‑assisted operations and learn how emerging AI/ML‑based tools can support smarter decision‑making in a modern smart‑factory environment. Throughout the project, the Trainee will work closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to validate findings, implement corrective actions, and measure outcomes.

  • Team members with strong learning desire.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Understand mechanical drawing and electrical/electronic wiring diagram.

  • Basic Python programming logic.

  • Willing to work in cleanroom environment.

Learning Outcome:

This internship aims to develop future semiconductor manufacturing engineers by enabling the Trainee to gain proficiency in analyzing production data, identifying improvement opportunities.

By the end of the internship, the Trainee will understand the functionality of major semiconductor equipment components and apply problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis methods. The Trainee will also be able to manage small‑scale projects and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders.
