The Role and Impact
As an AMHS Engineering Undergraduate Intern, you will be immersed in hands-on projects that enhance manufacturing processes and support factory operations. You'll contribute to evaluating equipment performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions to optimize production efficiency and product quality. This role offers a valuable opportunity to develop skills and gain real-world experience in a collaborative and innovative environment.

You'll join Intel's IFA AMHS engineering and Operations organization, which plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless production of cutting-edge technologies. This group is dedicated to driving operational excellence, advancing AMHS manufacturing capabilities, and ensuring quality and reliability in Intel's products. By joining this team, you'll be contributing to Intel's broader mission of powering the future through innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AMHS equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Assist in implementing corrective actions for AMHS equipment and process optimization.

  • Assist in coordinating equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.

  • Collaborate with AMHS engineering and AMHS operations teams to enhance production efficiency.

  • Collect, analyze, and present operational and engineering data using appropriate tools and software.

  • Support process improvements and contribute to quality assurance initiatives.

  • Develop technical documentation to support AMHS manufacturing processes.

  • Review engineering drawings, layouts, specifications, and technical documentation.

  • Participate in cross-functional problem-solving activities to address factory challenges.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Working toward a bachelor's degree in a relevant field ( Mechanical-, Electrical- , Mechatronics-, Manufacturing- , Automation Engineering, or a related discipline ) with demonstrated skills gained through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training.

  • Fundamental understanding of manufacturing process control and improvement techniques.

  • Familiarity with technical documentation and quality assurance practices.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to PLCs, industrial controls, robotics, or automation systems.

  • Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar technologies.

  • Strong communication skills and aptitude for collaborative teamwork.

  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying best practices in manufacturing engineering.

  • Interest in exploring future career opportunities through hands-on experience.

  • Understanding of equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and system performance metrics.

  • Interest in Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, and digital transformation technologies.

You will be required to work both in the office and the fab environment .

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.

The minimum Annual Salary for this job which could be performed in Ireland is: € 31.400,00

The job posting reflects the minimum base compensation for this role. Our standard internship rates are aligned with the specific job role and degree level. As part of our total compensation approach, the final offer may also include additional pay components and benefits. Your recruiting team will provide the confirmed base salary along with any applicable total compensation elements upon employment offer delivery.
