About Re:Build
At Re:Build, our mission is to ensure the next generation of important products are made, at scale, in America. We are laying the foundation for a better future for our customers, employees, and communities by revitalizing America's manufacturing base and creating meaningful jobs across the country, including in historically deindustrialized regions.
We operate an advanced, end-to-end manufacturing platform that partners with industrial companies and innovators to take products from first concept to full-scale production in critical verticals including aerospace and defense, electrification, medical, energy and environment, and robotics and automation.
The way we operate is as important as the work we do. It's guided by The Re:Build Way, 16 principles that shape how we collaborate with each other, partner with our customers and vendors, and contribute to the communities where we operate. (link to The Re:Build Way principles)

Who We Are Looking For
You’re someone who enjoys working with your hands, solving practical problems, and seeing how components and systems come together on the manufacturing floor. You have prior hands-on experience using hand tools, performing mechanical or electromechanical assembly, or working in an industrial or shop-floor environment—and you’re interested in building on that experience in a manufacturing setting.
This internship is especially well suited for someone whose experience goes beyond the classroom. You’re comfortable working alongside technicians, operators, and manufacturing teams, and you’re willing to observe, ask questions, troubleshoot issues, and contribute wherever you can. A technical degree can be helpful, but practical hands-on experience is more important for this opportunity.
What You Get To Do
- Build components, subassemblies, and systems alongside manufacturing and production teams on the shop floor.
- Fit, adjust, and test assembled hardware to verify proper form, function, and conformance to specifications.
- Troubleshoot assembly and production issues in real time, working directly with technicians and operators to identify potential solutions.
- Support manufacturing line troubleshooting by observing processes, gathering relevant data, and helping implement corrective actions.
- Document assembly procedures, work instructions, and process observations to support continuous improvement.
- Contribute technical input as manufacturing programs transition from design into hands-on production.
What You Bring To The Team
- Prior hands-on experience with hand tools, mechanical or electromechanical assembly, or general shop-floor work in an industrial environment.
- Practical work experience applying these skills; this internship is intended for candidates with hands-on experience beyond classroom exposure alone.
- Ability to follow workplace instructions and communicate clearly with team members in everyday manufacturing situations.
- Basic arithmetic skills, including working with decimals, fractions, and percentages.
- Ability to approach problems in a structured way, observe what is happening, gather information, and help identify solutions within established processes.
- Comfort working in a hands-on manufacturing environment that requires extended periods of standing, frequent bending or stooping, repetitive lifting of lightweight objects, and occasional lifting of heavy objects over 50 pounds.
- A two-year or four-year technical degree is a plus, but not required.
The base salary range for this position is $21.87– $32.81 per year. This range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the base compensation for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for annual incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives, subject to Company plans. The Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.
