Established in 2015, the Infrastructure Debt arm of Schroders Capital has grown rapidly, reaching ~30 employees based in Paris and London, and has raised and invested over €5bn across senior and junior debt strategies, focusing on core European infrastructure assets in various sectors (energy, utilities, transportation, telecom, social). Within the Infrastructure Debt platform, the investment team works on the entire investment cycle: origination and sourcing, analysis of opportunities, due diligence processes, commercial and legal negotiations and asset management.

 

Who we are looking for

The Infrastructure Debt investment team is hiring two Interns (one starting in January 2027 and the other one in March 2027) to support the continued growth of its platform. The intern will be responsible for supporting the team through challenging assignments related to investment, asset management, ESG and product-related deliverables.

 

What you will do

 During the internship, the Intern will have significant responsibilities in a fast-paced, international and challenging work environment and will be regularly in contact with other internal teams such as our London-based investment team, Product (London), Operations (Paris) and Compliance (Paris) teams.

The main tasks include among others: 

  • Analyzing potential investment targets and supporting the team during due diligence processes
  • Preparing investment memos and presenting transactions to the Investment Committee 
  • Contributing to the execution and closing of an investment, working closely with internal and external parties as appropriate 
  • Assisting the team in processing waiver requests and helping to produce quarterly portfolio reporting (e.g. performance, market updates, compliance with covenants) 
  • Preparing presentations for internal and external use and coordinating ad-hoc responses to investors and prospects’ requests with Product team 
  • Monitoring infrastructure-related news and preparing our weekly internal dashboard 
  • Preparing non-financial analysis of investment opportunities and managing 

 

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need 

  • Top-tier business school, engineering school or university, with strong academic credentials 
  • Relevant prior internships in related fields (e.g. infrastructure, Private Debt/Equity, M&A, strategy consulting, leveraged finance, transaction services) ▪ Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a structured approach to deliverables and ability to summarize complex documents 
  • Strong proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel 
  • Excellent written and verbal French and English communication skills 
  • Team working spirit – willing to learn and to develop in a fast-growing team 
  • Curious with a “can do” attitude
