Compensation Range

Hourly: $20.00 - $20.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

Bank Operations serves as the operational backbone of the bank, supporting the processing, execution, and settlement of transactions across multiple business lines. As a Bank Operations Summer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the functions that help drive operational efficiency, accuracy, and exceptional service.

This rotational internship provides exposure to three or more areas within the Bank Operations Division, offering opportunities to develop skills in analytics, reporting, process improvement, project management, and operations leadership while contributing to meaningful business initiatives and receiving mentorship from experienced professionals.

The summer internship session will begin on Tuesday, May 18, 2027, and will run for 11 weeks, ending on Friday, July 30, 2027. Internships are paid, full-time opportunities with a Monday through Friday work schedule.

Essential Functions

  • Analyze data and develop reports, dashboards, and operational insights

  • Support reporting, process improvement, and project initiatives.

  • Monitor and communicate KPIs and performance metrics.

  • Assist with compliance reviews, user access administration, and system support.

  • Research and resolve operational and account-related issues.

  • Collaborate across teams to improve processes and operational effectiveness.

  • Present project updates, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

  • Hybrid/Onsite: minimum of 2 days on site, with variations based on rotational assignments

  • Candidates must reside within the Kansas City metropolitan area and be able to regularly report to downtown location

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presenting ideas and findings to stakeholders

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and organizational levels

  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SharePoint & Teams

Education & Experience

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Operations, or a related field

  • Junior or Senior standing preferred at the time of the internship.

  • Demonstrated interest in Operations Leadership, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and business process management

  • Prior work experience, internship experience, campus leadership, or involvement in student organizations is preferred but not required
