Job Summary/Purpose

The Student Intern will support Entergy’s Transmission Customer Services team in activities related to transmission interconnections, customer agreements, and reliability planning. This role provides hands‑on exposure to how Entergy works with major industrial, generation, wholesale, and specially designated customers to ensure safe, reliable transmission service.
Under the guidance of the Sr. Project Manager and team members, the intern will assist with project coordination, data organization, customer support activities, and documentation associated with transmission agreements and long‑term customer relationships

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

The intern will support the team in tasks such as:
• Assisting with cross‑functional coordination efforts related to customer engagement, reliability planning, and service level tracking.
• Helping gather, organize, and maintain documents for transmission‑related customer agreements (Interconnection Agreements, Meter Data Management Agreements, Local Balancing Area Agreements, Generation Interconnection Agreements, Facility Construction Agreements, Facility Service Agreements, Wholesale Distribution Service Agreements, etc.).
• Supporting teams in researching policies, procedures, and regulatory information related to transmission service and interconnection processes.
• Assisting with data collection, tracking, and summary reporting for customer vulnerability and action plans, reliability improvement initiatives, and account management activities.
• Helping prepare materials for internal meetings, customer discussions, and regulatory support activities as assigned.
• Supporting documentation and coordination activities tied to reimbursement programs for transmission facilities involving entities such as cooperative utilities, municipalities, and other wholesale customers.
• Providing general project support including scheduling assistance, recordkeeping, and process improvement contributions.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Minimum education required of the position

 

• Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, business, energy management, project management, or a related field.
• Classified as a sophomore or beyond, Junior and Senior candidate with graduation dates of May 2028 and beyond preferred.
• Minimum 2.8 GPA

 

 

Minimum experience required of the position

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
