About The Company
Jobgether is a career navigation platform built for senior professionals competing in the remote job market. Hiring systems were designed for volume and keyword matching, not for 15 or 20 years of nonlinear experience. That structural mismatch is why strong profiles get filtered out before a human ever sees them. Our platform diagnoses where a search is breaking, corrects how experience is positioned, and connects professionals to the companies where their background creates real value. The goal is not more applications. It is the right visibility in the right places. Our mission is to ensure no senior professional remains invisible in the global remote market, not because they lack the skills, but because the system failed to read them correctly.
About the Role

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Infrastructure based in Brazil.

This is a senior, hands-on infrastructure leadership opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants to own the full production infrastructure stack. You will design, operate, secure, and scale a multi-cloud environment across AWS and GCP, with Kubernetes at its core. The role combines infrastructure engineering, cloud architecture, compliance, observability, and production reliability within a high-impact healthcare technology environment. You will play a critical role in strengthening HIPAA and SOC 2 controls while ensuring systems remain secure, resilient, and scalable. This is a director-level individual contributor position with significant technical ownership but no people-management responsibilities. You will establish infrastructure standards, lead incident response, and make practical technical decisions that directly influence platform reliability. The role is fully remote and designed for an engineer who remains deeply involved in production systems and implementation.

Accountabilities:
  • Multi-Cloud Infrastructure: Design, build, operate, and continuously improve production infrastructure across AWS and GCP, balancing scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Kubernetes Operations: Own production Kubernetes environments across both cloud providers, including deployment, scaling, troubleshooting, performance, and reliability of critical workloads.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Develop, maintain, review, and deploy production-grade Infrastructure as Code using Pulumi or Terraform, ensuring infrastructure changes are consistent, repeatable, and well governed.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain infrastructure controls aligned with HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR, or equivalent regulatory and security requirements, supporting audits and maintaining strong compliance practices across the stack.
  • Observability: Build and evolve comprehensive observability capabilities covering metrics, logs, traces, monitoring, alerting, and system health to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Incident Response: Own production incidents from detection and troubleshooting through resolution, root-cause analysis, postmortems, and implementation of preventative improvements.
  • Technical Standards: Establish and enforce infrastructure engineering standards, best practices, and operational patterns that support the broader engineering organization.
  • Hands-On Engineering: Remain directly involved in production implementation, infrastructure changes, troubleshooting, and technical decision-making rather than operating primarily through management or administrative responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Production Infrastructure Experience: Significant experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting production infrastructure in regulated or compliance-focused environments such as HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR, or equivalent.
  • Kubernetes Expertise: Deep hands-on experience running Kubernetes in production, including cluster operations, workload management, troubleshooting, scaling, and reliability engineering.
  • Multi-Cloud Expertise: Strong practical experience with both AWS and GCP, including the ability to operate across providers and understand the architectural and operational tradeoffs of each.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Proven production experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Pulumi and/or Terraform, including writing, reviewing, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure configurations.
  • Observability and Reliability: Strong experience building monitoring, alerting, logging, tracing, and incident-response systems that support highly reliable production environments.
  • Security and Compliance: Understanding of infrastructure security controls, compliance requirements, audit readiness, and the operational practices required to maintain regulated environments.
  • Incident Management: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex production issues under pressure, lead incident resolution, identify root causes, and implement durable corrective actions.
  • Hands-On Mindset: Currently or recently working directly with production infrastructure and engineering systems, with a strong preference for candidates who continue to make hands-on technical contributions.
  • Technical Leadership: Ability to define infrastructure standards, make high-impact architectural decisions, communicate technical tradeoffs clearly, and influence engineering practices without relying on formal people management.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a pragmatic approach to reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence.

Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Annual salary range of $100,000–$150,000.
  • Fully Remote: Work remotely from Brazil, providing flexibility while collaborating with a distributed engineering environment.
  • Full-Time Position: Senior professional-level opportunity with substantial technical ownership and long-term infrastructure responsibility.
  • Technical Autonomy: Own the full infrastructure lifecycle, from architecture and implementation through security, scalability, observability, and production operations.
  • Hands-On Leadership: Lead through technical expertise and ownership without direct people-management responsibilities.
  • High-Impact Environment: Work on infrastructure supporting a healthcare technology platform where reliability, security, and compliance are critical.
  • Multi-Cloud Exposure: Build and operate production systems across AWS and GCP, with significant Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code ownership.
  • Professional Growth: Opportunity to shape infrastructure standards, strengthen cloud architecture practices, and work on complex reliability and compliance challenges.
