Pella Corporation is seeking motivated engineering students for our Intelligent Engineering Co-Op in Pella, Iowa.
This co-op provides hands-on experience supporting engineering initiatives through meaningful projects that contribute to quality, cost, delivery, and operational performance objectives. Co-op students work alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams while developing technical, analytical, and professional skills in a real-world environment.
The extended duration of the co-op allows participants to gain deeper project ownership, see projects through multiple phases of implementation, and build a stronger understanding of how engineering technologies support business objectives.

Responsibilities
As an Intelligent Engineering Co-Op, you will support engineering projects and initiatives while developing engineering competencies and an understanding of how engineering supports business objectives.
Responsibilities are similar to what we expect of entry-level engineers who join Pella after graduation. Co-op students work closely with an assigned manager and mentor on strategic projects and focused development opportunities.
As an Intelligent Engineering Co-Op, you may:
- Support projects focused on improving quality, delivery, cost, and operational performance
- Apply engineering principles and problem-solving techniques to assigned projects and tasks
- Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to support business initiatives
- Utilize engineering tools, technologies, and processes to deliver project results
- Analyze data and communicate findings and recommendations
- Gain exposure to Pella's application of engineering technologies and business systems
- Develop technical, professional, and leadership skills through project ownership and collaboration
All projects and assignments will be determined based on business needs and team priorities.
Additional Information
- Full-time co-op assignment from Summer through Fall 2027
- Start dates may be adjusted to begin during the Spring semester
- Assigned manager and mentor support throughout the co-op experience
- Minimal travel may be required
- No supervisory responsibilities
- Periodic exposure to manufacturing equipment and production environments
- Occasional lifting of materials up to 30 pounds may be required
- Work may be performed in office and manufacturing settings
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline
- Junior or Senior standing preferred
- Strong academic standing
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, or involvement through campus organizations, work experience, athletics, volunteer activities, or other experiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to learn new technologies, systems, and engineering tools
- Ability to succeed in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Previous internship or co-op experience preferred

Compensation: The starting pay rate for this position is $27.90 per hour. Compensation for this role is established through Pella Corporation’s internship program. Eligible participants may receive transition assistance in accordance with company policies and program guidelines.
