About the Role

*** Hiring Manager / Intern supervisor will be Guillaume Durand (AMS Verification)

6 months Internship – Develop and evaluate a new AMS (Analog Mixed Signal) verification flow of an advanced MEMS sensor platform

We are seeking a motivated student to join our 2027 Internship Program!

Overview/Job Summary

The student will have the opportunity to work on Analog/Digital interactions through an AMS (Analog and Mixed signal) verification environment dedicated to MEMS sensors (gyroscope and accelerometer). The variety of tasks and topics covered are real assets and will allow them to build a solid knowledge of the Mixed-signal circuit verification flow.

The internship aims to migrate and evaluate an AMS verification platform from a full CADENCE environment to a mix using Symphony platform from Siemens for AMS and CADENCE for Analog (Virtuoso). This work will be performed using last and more advanced project in the team, dedicated to MEMS sensors verification (gyroscope and accelerometer).

  • Be familiar with actual MEMS platforms, architecture and design

  • Understand actual AMS verification flow using Full Cadence tools

    • Methodology: UVM based using Cadence ADE Assembler

    • “Analog on top” bench management

    • Tools and simulators

·         Work with Siemens team to install and construct a flow based on Symphony platform

·         Migrate all the actual AMS tests to the new Symphony environment

·         Evaluate the flow and compare it to existing one

·         Supervision: You will be supervised by a senior AMS verification engineer and collaborate with engineers of the team working on different and various subjects (Analog design, Digital design, Digital verification, CAD).

Internship Description

  • Understand the existing MEMS platform and interact with design and verification engineers to identify main functions and interactions.

  • Understand the existing AMS platform and interact with AMS designers to be able to:

    • Launch existing tests

    • Modify existing tests

    • Analyze results (waveforms, schematic tracer…)

  • Migrate existing AMS platform to a mix of tools from CADENCE (Virtuoso) and Siemens (Symphony):

    • Strong interaction with Siemens EDA/CAD Vendor to set up the new environment

    • Scripts modifications

    • Adapt our UVM based methodology to this new platform

    • Set up Interface elements

  • Write a documentation about the new flow and the debug interface

  • Compare simulation results to previous CADENCE platform (simulation time, precision…).

Technical Environment

  • Languages: Python, SystemVerilog (basic knowledge), UVM concepts

  • Tools: Git, Linux, Virtuoso

Qualifications

  • Master or engineering student in ElectronicsComputer Science, or Embedded Systems

  • Interest in semiconductor verification

  • Basic understanding of hardware design or verification flows is a plus

  • Curious, autonomous, and motivated to explore innovative tools

You Will Learn

  • Advanced verification methodologies (AMS platform, UVM)

  • MEMS Sensor concepts

  • Interaction between Analog and digital IPs

  • AMS Verification strategy

  • Collaboration with experienced verification engineers in a high-tech environment
