About TP (Tullett Prebon)

A world-leading intermediary in the wholesale financial and energy markets, Tullett Prebon seeks to maximise value for its clients' trading activities across voice, hybrid and pure electronic channels.

We offer broking services for a wide range of asset classes, including Equities, Credit, FX, Rates and Insurance Derivatives. 

Across all asset classes, Tullett Prebon offers e-solutions to give clients the choice to enter prices and execute trades electronically and directly via one of our hybrid electronic trading systems, or to engage with brokers to help identify and negotiate trades.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Intern to join our Inflation Swaps team in Paris for a six-month placement. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to global financial markets and develop a strong understanding of the role of an Interdealer Broker within a fast-paced trading environment.

Working closely with experienced brokers and support teams, you will gain insight into inflation-linked products, market dynamics, trade lifecycle management, and pricing tools while contributing to day-to-day business activities.

Role Responsibilities

  • Monitor and follow up on trades across a range of products, including bonds, swaps, and options.

  • Assist with trade capture and booking activities, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

  • Develop and automate pricing tools and analytics using Python and other technologies.

  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of existing pricing models and systems.

  • Liaise with Middle Office and Back Office teams to resolve trade and operational queries.

  • Analyse market and trading data to support business decision-making.

  • Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives across the desk.

Experience / Competences

Essential

  • Strong interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and fixed income products.

  • Fluent in both French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong programming skills in Python.

  • Good understanding of SQL and relational databases.

  • Ability to manipulate, validate, and analyse large datasets.

  • High level of technical aptitude and ability to work independently.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Desired

  • Previous experience within Financial Services, FinTech, or a similar environment.

  • Currently studying for a degree at a Business School, Engineering School, or a related discipline.

  • Knowledge of financial instruments such as bonds, swaps, and derivatives would be advantageous.

  • Familiarity with data visualisation or automation tools is beneficial.
