Job Description

Solidigm is seeking talented and motivated graduate students for our Electrical & Product Engineering Internships in Shanghai, China. This evergreen posting supports multiple internship opportunities across electrical engineering and product engineering for Solidigm's data center SSD products.

As an intern, you will work on real engineering challenges supporting hardware and electrical validation, product characterization, and testing for SSD and storage-related technologies.

This internship is ideal for graduate students who enjoy hands-on problem solving, working with hardware and test equipment, and applying analytical skills to real-world product and electrical engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Interns may be assigned one or more of the following responsibilities based on project needs, team priorities, and individual strengths:

  • Support validation and testing of SSD hardware, components, and electrical interfaces.
  • Execute test plans, collect data, and troubleshoot issues to verify electrical and functional requirements.
  • Support product characterization activities, including performance, reliability, and system behavior analysis.
  • Assist with debug and root-cause analysis of hardware or system-level issues.
  • Use lab equipment and test environments to reproduce issues and support validation and characterization activities.
  • Analyze test results, logs, and product data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, firmware, validation, and product engineering.
  • Create clear documentation for test methods, results, and debug findings.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Foundational knowledge of analog and digital circuits, electronics, or hardware systems.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a technical team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, or other test instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with SSDs, NAND flash, storage systems, or data center hardware.
  • Coursework or project experience in circuit analysis, signal testing, or hardware/product validation.
  • Exposure to scripting or automation to support data collection or testing.
  • Strong interest in data center storage, electronics, or product engineering.
