Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor, perched on the spectacular Formentor Peninsula and surrounded by panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the stunning landscape, first opened its doors in August 2024 following an extensive restoration and renovation of the historic property, originally inaugurated in 1929 on a vast private estate. After its successful debut, the resort will reopen to guests in March 2025, reaffirming its status as a unique destination of luxury and elegance on the island.

About the role 

The Purchasing & Culture Intern supports the Purchasing Department in the daily coordination of procurement operations, assisting with order management, supplier communication, and inventory organization. This internship provides hands-on experience in supply chain processes and vendor relations within a luxury hospitality environment. Working closely with the Purchasing Manager, you will learn about cost control procedures, supply management, and the importance of maintaining operational efficiency and accuracy across all purchasing activities. 

 

What you will do 

  • Assist in processing purchase orders and maintaining accurate supplier records. 

  • Support with inventory checks, deliveries, and the storage organization of goods. 

  • Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, delivery times, and compliance with quality standards. 

  • Help track invoices and payments through the hotel’s procurement system. 

  • Participate in cost comparison and product research for ongoing operational needs. 

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of supplies. 

  • Contribute to the review and maintenance of purchasing documentation and files. 

  • Learn and apply Four Seasons standards of service, integrity, and operational excellence. 

 

What you bring 

  • Education: Student currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Human Resources, Business, or a related field. 

  • Passion: Genuine enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and a desire to learn about purchasing and supply management. 

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Spanish. 

  • Organization: Ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and maintain high standards of service. 

  • Attention to detail: Strong accuracy and precision when handling documentation, supplier data, and inventory information. 

  • Technical skills: Good computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher). 

  • Collaboration: Proactive and team-oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and cooperatively with multiple departments and external partners. 

  • Professionalism: Positive attitude, reliability, adaptability, a strong sense of responsibility and a proactive work attitude. 

  • Legal right to work in Spain.  

 

Degree: Professional /Technician. 

Languages: Spanish / English. 

Language Ability: High.
