The opportunity:

Hitachi Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic HR Intern to support various Human Resources functions and gain hands-on experience in a global technology company. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn about HR operations, policies, and best practices within a dynamic environment.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • You will assist with the onboarding Employee Life Cycle (ELC) process including support new employee onboarding activities, such as preparing orientation materials and coordinating initial paperwork.
  • You will help maintain accurate employee records and update HR databases with relevant information, assist with HR projects and initiatives, including data analysis, research, and report generation.
  • You will support HR team with administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and managing correspondence, participate in departmental meetings and contribute to discussions on HR strategies and challenges.
  • You will gain exposure to various HR areas, including talent management, compensation and benefits, and employee relations, adhere to company policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s in human resources, Business Administration or a related field. Strong interest in a career in Human Resources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion, strong organizational skills and attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Previous internship or work experience in an office environment is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
