Job Summary


We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounting intern in our Boston office. They will need to be organized and exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong communication, interpersonal and financial skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among competing priorities. 

Requirements

Key Responsibilities 


Partner with Fund Accounting team members on special projects and process improvement initiatives, such as:

  • Enhancing workflows and documentation.
  • Supporting automation or efficiency efforts within accounting processes.


  • Contribute to ad hoc analyses. 
  • Gain exposure to the monthly close process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Observe and support elements of the accounts payable and cash management cycles.
  • Assist with documentation of accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Participate in team meetings and gain exposure to real estate investment structures and fund operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Pursuing a degree in Accounting. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (experience with data analysis or modeling a plus).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all members of the organization.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality as required and appropriate.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Internship conducted primarily in a professional office environment.
  • Frequent use of computers and digital communication platforms.
  • Limited travel may be required for property site visits or team meetings.
