About the Role

Department: Energy Business IT / Business Unit | Location: Esch-sur-Alzette | Contract: Internship 

 

 

At Enovos, data plays an important role in supporting business decisions, improving operational efficiency, and enabling better understanding of customer and business needs. As a Data Analyst Trainee, you will work closely with a business unit and support the maintenance, improvement, and evolution of existing data pipelines and analytical processes. You will act as a bridge between business needs and technical data solutions, helping ensure that data is reliable, accessible, and useful for day-to-day business activities. This traineeship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, data ingestion, data quality, and pipeline maintenance while working on concrete business use cases.

 

 

Your tasks

 

 

  • Support the integration of data from different sources into the central Data Platform.
  • Assist in preparing, cleaning, and validating data for business and analytics purposes.
  • Help maintain and monitor existing data ingestion processes and data pipelines.
  • Contribute to the evolution and improvement of data pipelines based on business needs.
  • Support the documentation of data sources, data flows, data models, and business rules.
  • Help identify and troubleshoot data quality, consistency, or availability issues.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into simple analytical solutions.
  • Assist in creating or improving datasets used for reporting, dashboards, and business analysis.
  • Learn and apply good practices related to data management, documentation, code quality, and data security.
  • Support the automation of repetitive data processing tasks under supervision.

 

 


Your profile

 

 

  • You are currently studying or have recently completed studies in computer science, data analytics, engineering, mathematics or a related field.
  • You have a strong interest in data analysis, data management, and data pipelines.
  • You have good knowledge of Python, you are familiar with coding best practices, such as PEP 8, for clean, readable, and maintainable code and are motivated to further develop your programming skills.
  • You have a good understanding of SQL and relational databases and database access management.
  • Familiarity or previous hands-on exposure to cloud data services, such as Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift, as well as knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts, data pipelines, or data visualization tools, is considered an advantage.
  • You are structured, curious, and eager to learn.
  • You pay attention to detail and are comfortable working with data.
  • You have good communication skills and enjoy working with both technical and business teams.
  • You are fluent in English. Knowledge of French or German is considered an advantage.
