About the Role

Company Description

Join Sigma Software’s Finance Department and get hands-on experience working with real financial and accounting tasks in an international technology group. You’ll have an opportunity to explore different areas of Finance, work with experienced professionals, and learn how financial processes work across multiple business models and jurisdictions.

The internship is designed as a potential starting point for a long-term career at Sigma: Internship → Junior part-time → Full-time → further professional and managerial growth.

This is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in Finance, gain practical experience, and discover the area you’d like to develop in further.

Program Details:

  • Format: Online
  • Duration: 4 months
  • Schedule: Part-time, 3-4 hours per day, with 2-3 one-hour sessions per week during the first weeks, followed by 2 half-hour sessions per week.
  • Registration deadline: October 30
  • Scholarship: Not provided
  • Top-performing participants may receive an offer to continue with Sigma Software as a Junior Financial Manager/Accountant

Job Description

During the internship, each participant is assigned to one or several focus areas, depending on their development path and the team’s needs. These areas are closely connected, so interns can take on tasks from adjacent directions and collaborate with colleagues across different domains.

  • International and management audit – Audit in line with international standards and internal management audit of group processes

  • Tax risks and transfer pricing – Assessment of tax risks in a multi-jurisdictional structure, preparation of transfer pricing documentation, and benchmarking

  • Financial reporting and analytics – Reporting and management analytics for very different types of businesses: a service company, delivery projects, investment funds, and startups. This is one of the few areas where, within a few months, you can see the financial logic of four different business models

  • Corporate expense management – Business expense cards across the entire group: usage policies, control and analysis of expenses, as well as automation of accounting for these operations so that thousands of transactions are processed by the system rather than manually

  • International accounting – Accounting for different legal forms and tax compliance in the jurisdictions where the group operates

  • Ukrainian accounting – Accounting for the core service business of the group with all its specifics, fixed assets and automation of their accounting, as well as charitable funds and defence-related activities

The main focus area is a starting point, not a limitation. Since all areas are tightly interconnected, interns have the opportunity to work with tasks from related domains and cooperate with colleagues from other areas.
