The Role

LUZCO Technologies is looking for an Transmission & Distribution Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Transmission & Distribution team. This is a great opportunity for a student interested in power delivery engineering who wants hands-on experience supporting real-world utility projects.

As an intern, you'll work alongside experienced engineers helping design, retrofit, rebuild, and construct overhead distribution and transmission lines ranging from 4kV to 345kV. You'll gain exposure to field work, engineering design, utility standards, and project coordination while building a strong foundation for a career in the power industry.

This internship is designed for students who are eager to learn, enjoy solving problems, and want to make an impact on critical infrastructure projects.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Support engineering and design activities for transmission and distribution line projects
• Assist with field data collection and site surveys, which may include travel within or outside your local area
• Learn how to evaluate structure loading and strength requirements
• Review NESC and client-specific clearance requirements
• Help prepare construction drawings, design packages, and project documentation
• Support responses to construction-related questions and field requests
• Assist with record drawing and project closeout documentation
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to support project delivery
• Take on additional duties and special projects as needed

Requirements

What You'll Bring to the Familia

Essentials to Succeed:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• Rising Junior or Rising Senior standing by Summer 2027
• Minimum GPA of 2.75
• Valid driver's license
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and grow within the power delivery industry

What Will Make You Standout:

• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Exposure to AutoCAD or similar design software
