About the Role

Smartly is looking for a Creative Operations Knowledge Migration Intern to support our Creative Operations team during an upcoming product and workflow migration.

In this role, you’ll help ensure the operational documentation, knowledge resources, communications, and training materials needed for the migration are accurate, complete, accessible, and ready for use across teams. You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Process, Training, and Workflow Owners to translate operational changes into clear, practical resources that support a successful migration.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in creative operations, knowledge management, communications, instructional design, or technical writing to gain hands-on experience supporting a large-scale operational change.

As a Creative Operations Knowledge Migration Intern, you will…

  • Support the development and organization of operational documentation and knowledge resources for an upcoming product and workflow migration
  • Translate operational changes into clear knowledge articles, process guides, FAQs, job aids, and other reference materials
  • Partner with Product, Process, Training, and Workflow Owners to gather and validate information
  • Review and audit existing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and accessibility
  • Identify content gaps and help ensure documentation is ready ahead of key migration milestones
  • Support content governance and help maintain consistency across resources
  • Track documentation, communication, and training dependencies
  • Help coordinate and schedule training sessions across relevant teams
  • Support migration-readiness tracking and provide updates on documentation and training progress
  • Assist with additional communications and operational-readiness initiatives as needed

We are looking for you if you…

  • Have an interest in or experience with instructional design, communications, technical writing, training, knowledge management, or a related area
  • Have strong writing and editing skills
  • Are highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Have strong verbal and written presentation skills
  • Can simplify complex information and turn it into clear, accessible resources
  • Are comfortable coordinating with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities
  • Take initiative and follow through on tasks
  • Are eager to learn about creative operations, product migrations, and change management
  • Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

What you’ll gain…

  • Practical experience in creative operations and knowledge management
  • Exposure to product and workflow migration initiatives
  • Experience creating and governing operational documentation
  • Cross-functional project coordination experience
  • The ability to translate complex information into clear and practical resources
  • Experience tracking documentation and training dependencies
  • Practice identifying content gaps and supporting migration readiness
  • Exposure to training coordination and change-adoption efforts across teams

This internship will be approximately 30 hours per week from October 6 through December 17, 2026.
