About the Role

Are you a member of CWA and curious about exchanging perspectives with a senior leader at Volvo Group?

Together with CWA, we are inviting 10 students to take part in our Reverse Mentorship Program. You do not need to be an expert or have all the answers. What matters to us is that you are curious, willing to share your perspectives and comfortable bringing your own ideas and experiences into the conversation.

What is reverse mentorship?

Reverse mentorship turns the traditional mentoring relationship around. As a student mentor, you will be matched with a senior leader at Volvo Group, creating an opportunity for both of you to learn from each other.

Your perspective as a student and future professional is valuable to us. Through open conversations, you will have the opportunity to share your thoughts and experiences on topics such as the future of work, expectations of future employers, technology, leadership, inclusion, or other areas that are relevant to you and your mentee.

At the same time, you will gain insights into working life and leadership at Volvo Group, build your network and develop through the experience.

What can you expect?

You and your mentee will shape the mentorship together. At the beginning of the program, you will discuss what you would both like to learn, what you want to explore and how you would like to structure your conversations. We will be there to provide support and guidance along the way.

The program runs from October 2026 to May 2027 and includes around four to five individual meetings with your mentee. You will have flexibility in how and where you meet.

We will kick off the program together, giving you the opportunity to meet the other participants and learn more about mentoring and coaching. Throughout the program, there will also be opportunities to connect with the other student mentors, before we come together again towards the end to share experiences and reflect on the journey.

Who are we looking for?

There is no specific field of study or previous mentoring experience required. We are interested in who you are, what you think and the perspectives you bring.

We are looking for students who are curious, engaged, and willing to take initiative in the mentorship. You enjoy exchanging ideas with others, can communicate your thoughts and are open to both challenges and being challenged. Most importantly, you are interested in learning, sharing your perspective and shaping the experience together with your mentee.

Why join?

As a mentor, you will have a unique opportunity to build a relationship with a senior leader at Volvo Group, share perspectives they may not encounter in their everyday work and gain new perspectives in return. Through your conversations, you will get to explore your own ideas, practice communicating your thoughts and build confidence in expressing your perspective.

You will also gain insight into our organization and working life, expand your network and connect across different experiences and generations. Most importantly, the program is an opportunity to learn from each other, while your perspective can challenge how we think and contribute to positive change at Volvo Group, the experience can also help you learn more about yourself, your interests and what you want from your future career.

How to apply

We are more interested in your motivation, potential, and perspective than in having the “perfect” CV.

As part of the application, you will be asked to answer a few selection questions about your studies, your motivation for joining the program, and the perspectives and experiences you would like to bring to the mentorship. Your answers will be an important part of the selection process and will help us get to know you beyond your CV.

Please note that our application system requires you to upload a CV in order to submit your application.

Selected applicants will be invited to a short conversation with us, giving us the opportunity to get to know you a little better and hear more about your motivation. The final participants will then be matched with one of our senior leaders.

Application deadline: September 27, 2026.

Interested in joining us? Apply and take part in a program where your perspective matters.

We value your data privacy and therefore do not accept applications via mail.
