Job Description

Summer 2027 Internship

Duration: Monday, May 17th- August 20th, 2027

Location: Austin, TX

Under close supervision, the Marketing & Communications Intern is responsible for supporting the marketing and communications team by assisting with internal communications, event planning logistics, and content creation for various channels.

Duties and Responsibilities
The statements below describe the essential duties of the person or persons assigned to this internship. They are not intended as an exhaustive list of all job duties and responsibilities.
  • Assist in drafting and distributing pre-/post-event emails and social media posts.
  • Contribute ideas and content for social media relevant to company events.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as purchase order processing related to events.
  • Help plan brand-related events, coordinating timelines and vendors under supervision.
  • Participate in learning opportunities related to marketing collateral development.
  • Support internal communication initiatives to foster employee engagement and culture.
  • Support small and large-scale event logistics: booth setup/tear down, registration, promotional items, and shipping coordination.
  • Assist with maintaining internal events and communications calendars.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to follow instructions and receive feedback constructively.
  • Comfortable with occasional overnight travel (up to 25%).
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of marketing and communications principles.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensure)
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • No experience necessary. Previous experience or relevant internship preferred but is not required
