About the Internship

KerberRose is looking for ambitious Audit Interns for a full-time Summer 2027 internship. Gain hands-on experience in public accounting while working alongside experienced professionals on government and nonprofit audits.


This internship is designed to provide meaningful, real-world experience in a professional accounting environment. You'll apply classroom knowledge to client engagements, develop technical and client service skills, and gain exposure to the audit process from planning through completion. Through mentorship, training, and hands-on experience, you'll build a strong foundation for a successful career in public accounting.

What You’ll Do

As an Audit Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience working with governmental and/or nonprofit clients while learning from experienced professionals. You'll have the opportunity to:

• Assist with financial and compliance audits for governmental and/or nonprofit organizations

• Prepare audit workpapers and document audit procedures

• Analyze financial records and test account balances

• Participate in client meetings and interact with client personnel

• Collaborate with audit team members to meet engagement deadlines

• Develop an understanding of auditing standards, internal controls, and public sector reporting

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Must be attending a 4-year university and be enrolled in an Accounting Program

• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior level

• Ability to work daytime hours Monday-Friday

• Ability to work independently and with others when necessary

• Excellent organization and time management skills
