Your Role
We’re looking for Quality Assurance (QA) Engineering interns to join us at Hudl’s Headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska. As a QA Engineering intern, you’ll support our commitment to delivering exceptional software. In this role, you’ll be the user before the user—you’ll be responsible for manual and automated testing, designing test plans and documenting the evolution of our web and mobile features.
As a QA Engineering Intern, you’ll:
- Ensure holistic quality. Beyond traditional pathways, you’ll be expected to identify and assess edge-cases while owning quality end-to-end.
- Use our tech stack. You'll blend AI-powered and conventional tooling to monitor, diagnose, and evaluate quality — both during development and once features are live in users' hands.
- Be the gatekeeper for our production environment. You’ll determine the deployment readiness of features poised to reach millions globally. You’ll work alongside our accomplished Engineers, Designers and Product Managers, helping us set the gold standard of quality assurance.
Location
Our priority is to hire product interns who have the ability to live in Lincoln, Nebraska for the 2027 summer—we’ll cover your housing costs. Need to travel to Lincoln? We'll cover that too.
Must-Haves
- A current student. We’re welcoming degree-seeking students in computer science, software engineering or computer engineering to join our team.
- Passionate. You love software and are fascinated by cutting edge hardware. You know which companies are creating novel solutions with technology.
- Naturally curious. You constantly ask questions and dig deeper into problems to come away with new ideas.
- Empathetic. You may not have been a coach, athlete or recruiter, but you could think critically about their experience and understand how they think when it comes to using Hudl. You understand there’s more than one way to do things.
- Team-oriented. You have experience with and/or are comfortable with working on a team over a span of multiple weeks.
- Coding experience. You’ve used coding languages such as Python, Javascript, etc.
Nice-to-Haves
- Testing familiarity. You have experience using tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestRail, Jira, etc. to write manual and automated tests across the testing pyramid (i.e., smoke testing, regression testing, etc.).
