About the Role

Why This Internship

As an intern with Textron, you’ll gain hands-on experience while exploring your interests and building new skills. You’ll be supported and challenged to contribute in meaningful ways – working on real projects alongside experienced professionals to prepare for future success.

Our human resources internship is a comprehensive 10-week program designed to engage students through access to project work, networking, and development opportunities.  During the program, interns will be in a supportive learning environment contributing both independently and on a team. Students will gain valuable exposure to human resources as well as insight into a potential career path with a Fortune 500 company. This is a great opportunity for a creative and collaborative individual to join the Enterprise Talent Management team to learn more about the areas of learning & development, succession planning and performance management.  

Competitive compensation is offered, including a housing stipend for eligible candidates. This requires the ability to relocate to Providence, Rhode Island for the duration of the program.

How you can contribute

  • Support Talent Management projects & initiatives to drive Textron talent strategy and assist with developing creative solutions and suggesting potential alternatives to improve efficiency and timeliness
  • Past Talent Development Interns have contributed to:
    • Gaining a deeper level of insights into leadership program participants via data analysis and dashboarding to inform future nomination recommendations
    • Creating developmentally focused eLearning “playlists” for employee development
    • Implementing system improvements to aid employees in capturing their full experience history
    • Auditing existing resources available to support employees & leaders in successfully executing on Textron’s performance management process
    • Protect and maintain the privacy of employee personnel records including, but not limited to, personal and compensation information about employees
    • Perform other duties as assigned

How you can qualify

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time college student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related degree program
