About the Role

2027 Equity Research Summer Intern Program

Location: New York

Salary Range: $110,000 (pro-rated for Summer)

Leerink Partners offers a ten-week Summer Intern program to accomplished students in their penultimate year of undergraduate studies. This is an opportunity to be part of a world-class Research team focused on the innovation economy in the Healthcare sector. This internship program allows individuals the unique opportunity to assist in the day-to-day responsibilities of full-time equity research professionals. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect, evaluate and apply statistical and financial data on the economy and financial markets, specifically with respect to researching common stocks within the healthcare industry.
  • Analyze and synthesize researched data and presentation of trends and ideas regarding business opportunities and investment decision-making processes.
  • Observe interviews with company executives and industry leaders to develop and maintain sources of information in preparation of analyses.
  • Maintain company databases using spreadsheet and database software.
  • Prepare reports, opinions, recommendations, and statistical data, financial statement modeling, for use in the formulation of the investment policies and/or recommendations of the firm.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Qualified candidates will be currently pursuing their undergraduate degree in their junior year (Class of 2028)
  • Must have the ability to potentially convert to a full-time employee in the summer the following year after the internship (July 2028).
  • Some healthcare exposure, either academically or job-related preferred
  • Interest in the stock market and Healthcare equity investment research
  • Experience building pro forma financial models including forecasting revenue, income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement
  • Must possess the ability to synthesize data and articulate findings through excellent written and oral presentation skills
