About the Role

The 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027. Candidates must be available to start on May 17 and participate through the duration of the program.

What Will You Do? 

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: 

  • Work within multi-discipline team to qualify prototype machines in advance of production (mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, software systems).

  • Assist with test plans then perform test setups, including building prototypes, instrumentation, and fixturing.

  • Gather, analyze and document test results, including failure analysis. 

  • Opportunities to gain a deeper understanding through hands on use of: test instrumentation, data acquisition equipment, thermal imaging, accelerometers, sound level meters, force measurement equipment, strain gauges, LabVIEW, Creo, and safety standards.

  • Collaborate across all functions of the business and learn what it takes to be part of a great team.

What Do You Need? 

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: 

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and hands-on work experience

  • Communication skills with an ability to execute verbal or written instructions

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and test instrumentation

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize based on due dates or importance

  • Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
