ING in Asia Pacific

Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.

Function Overview

We offer different internship opportunities in different departments and locations of our Wholesale bank. This vacancy focusses on positions within Product Control department.

Under Product Control, the team ensures that the balance sheet and profit and loss of trading and banking books of the Financial Markets are measured, controlled and reported in accordance toย  accounting/reporting standards.

Duties and responsibilities

Singapore is the regional hub for ING, including for product control and P&L reporting activities. There are a number of different Financial Markets desks controlled/supported by Product Control including rates, credits, FX, structured products, commodity, non-linear derivatives, etc. The internship would cover:

  • Daily P&L reporting and analysis

  • Working on ad hoc ongoing projects related to product control management

  • Assisting the team lead in specific valuation and P&L analysis as and when required

There would be exposure to policies and procedures governing this desk, which in turn are based on a number of items including regulations, bankโ€™s risk management philosophy, current economic climate, etc.


What do we ask of you? (Skills & Specifications)

- Major in Finance/Accounting

- Major/minor in Data Analytics is a plus

- Good written and oral communication skills

- Should have sufficient knowledge of MS Excel, VBA and coding

- Good time management and adaptability

This is a six month full time Internship position starting from January 2027.
