Job Description:

The Role: Industrial Engineering Intern  

As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will support the GMC Area Study Project by assisting in operational analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. This role provides hands-on exposure to industrial engineering practices, manufacturing processes, and data-driven decision-making aimed at improving productivity and efficiency within the GMC area. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Conduct cycle time studies and evaluate current operational processes. 

  • Collect, organize, and analyze production and workflow data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. 

  • Support routing analysis and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency. 

  • Assist in productivity improvement projects within the GMC area. 

  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to gather information and validate findings. 

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation of study results and recommendations. 

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support implementation activities as required. 

What We Seek 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Able to commit to an internship period of at least 24 weeks. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools. 

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a manufacturing environment. 

  • Minimum CGPA of 3.00 

Outstanding Candidates Will Have 

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles. 

  • Experience with statistical analysis, time studies, or process mapping through coursework or projects. 

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial engineering concepts. 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. 

  • A proactive mindset with a passion for solving operational challenges and driving efficiency improvements.
