About the Role

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and manage the Student Service Centre counter, ensure the delivery of high quality services and efficient administration to enhance student experience at HWUM, which include greeting customers as they arrive at the centre.

2.         Use appropriate tool to respond to customers in a timely and accurate manner.  Explain relevant University rules, policies and procedures to staff, students or visitors, when necessary.

3.         Supervise day-to-day operational duties, such as count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each day/shift to ensure that amounts are correct and adequate change is available. 

4.         Prepare, compile, analyse and maintain periodic transaction reports and records to ensure such information are consistent and accurate.  Investigate discrepancies and match up actual collections against the reported figures; escalate issues to the line manager, when necessary.

5.         Issue receipts and/or change due to customers upon receiving of payments.  Ensure each transaction is recorded promptly and correctly to guarantee accuracy of student accounts.  Maintain safekeeping of cash and cheques in order to balance and account for all funds at the end of each day/shift.

6.         Direct customers to the relevant office and/or staff, as appropriate, to seek resolution of matters beyond the information available at the Student Service Centre.

7.         Participate actively in team meetings, contribute to group decisions and ensure the objectives of the overall area are met, including reviewing related business processes and initiating improvisation.

8.         Provide assistance for planning, preparing and implementing the various Registry events such as orientations/inductions, enrolment sessions and graduation ceremonies.

9.         Provide support for marketing activities and other University events, as needed.
