About the Role

We are seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer Intern in our Broomfield, CO, location. 

 

All applicants for placement in safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Support & Validation: Assist in the operation, startup, and validation of cleanroom and noncleanroom HVAC, air systems, chilled water, and related mechanical systems.  

  • Documentation: Conduct system walkdowns, create and update operations and maintenance (O&M) documentation, and support special projects within the mechanical engineering scope. 

  • Clean Room Environment Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment; follow ISO, and other relevant standards for cleanroom operations. 

  • Support facility planning efforts, including space utilization, infrastructure upgrades, and capital project development. 

  • Complete a capstone project and present recommendations and results to site and facilities leadership at the conclusion of the internship. 


YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree  

  • Must be able to participate in an internship prior to completing current degree program  

  • Graduating on/after 2027 

  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status  

  • Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen


WE VALUE:
  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related STEM field. 

  • Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028. 

  • Strong interest in facilities, construction, infrastructure, engineering, or project management. 

  • Familiarity with engineering or construction principles and frameworks 

  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Power BI, or related platforms. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities. 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an ability to investigate issues and develop practical solutions.

Compensation & Benefits: 

The pay range for this role is $23 - $27 per hour. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
