About the Role

Job Overview:

Fall 2027 Co-op - Mechanical Engineering  

As a Fall 2027 Mechanical Engineering Co-op at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP), Spartanburg plant you will be part of the team that specifies, selects, and optimizes the manufacturing technology we utilize to make billions of k-cups annually.  Additionally, you will be enabling the many recent and future product innovations in our pipeline. Co-ops with our team are assigned real, high-impact projects for which they are given full ownership as well as the support of experienced engineers to coach and guide them. Aside from "desk" work and time in a lab, co-ops travel to producing sites to help make their work successful. You will not only improve your engineering knowledge but also gain a deeper understanding of supply chains, manufacturing, and strategy. 

This role is aligned to the Coffee Operating Unit. 

Shift/Schedule: 

  • The KDP 2027 Fall Co-op Program will run from July 12th – December 3rd, 2027 
  • Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina 
  • Full-time; 40 hours per week 
  • Monday-Friday 
  • 8:00am until 5:00pm 
  • Onsite 

As a Fall 2027 Engineering Co-op you will: 

  • Designing or selecting equipment or modifications to equipment 
  • Support our equipment governance system 
  • Lead project execution 
  • Participate in the development and execution of equipment acceptance testing 

Elements of the KDP 2027 Co-op Program include: 

  • Engaging and partnering on innovative projects to gain experience in a fast paced, cross functional team environment 
  • Receive mentor support for your professional development 
  • Participate in meet & greets and lunch & learns with KDP executives and other organization leaders 
  • Receive professional development training such as networking, professional skills development and presenting 
  • Complete a project from start to finish and present it and your takeaways to your team, department, and senior leaders to highlight your project work and impact on the business 

Total Rewards:
  • $31/hour 
  • Paid bi-weekly 
  • $5,000 sign on bonus pay, paid within first 30 days of employment 

Requirements:
  • Undergraduates currently enrolled in a full-time academic program from an accredited college or university, majoring in Mechanical Engineering or another related field. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines 
  • Strong communication skills including excellent listening, written, and verbal abilities 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, be independently driven, and adapt to changes 
  • Ability to travel to vendors and additional Coffee Plants in the US and Canada  
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD a plus
