The Clorox Supply Chain Organization is a diverse and inclusive global community of empowered people. Supply Chain is comprised of operational and support organizations focusing on buying, making and shipping products for our variety of well-known brands.

The Supply Chain Intern - Technical Track role is part of our carefully designed Summer Internship Program that provides you with valuable experience in one of our Operations Services groups. You’ll also participate in a variety of development activities that increase your learning of the end-to-end Supply Chain (Logistics, Planning, Manufacturing, Sourcing, etc.), the CPG industry, and our Clorox culture.

This position is located in Alpharetta, GA (near Atlanta, GA). You may be required to travel to other Clorox locations depending on your group assignment.

In this role, you will:

As a Supply Chain Technical Intern, you will be assigned to one of our technical Supply Chain activities & groups including but not limited to: 

Continuous Improvement

  • Implement improvement projects in Clorox's manufacturing & supply chain operations with a focus on developing cutting edge tools for multi-level data analysis

Global Quality Assurance

  • Building quality into manufacturing processes and supporting systems that drive out waste throughout the product supply chain from the purchase of materials to delivery of finished product

Global Technical Services

  • Examples include Process Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Production Services, Capital Project Management, Electrical Instruments & Controls, etc.

Health, Safety & Environmental

  • Assist with improving data collection, integrity, accuracy & quality around safety/environmental incident reporting and compliance tracking systems; support corporate safety and/or environmental projects for Clorox sites
     

Technical Track activities and experiences may include the opportunity to:

  • Learn from a Sr. Engineering mentor while further developing industry experience through exposure, training and hands on experience supporting corporate engineering capital projects
  • Gain project management experience including management of engineering consultants, supervision of contractors and interfacing with plant maintenance and operations
  • Contribute both as an individual and part of a team in engineering and delivering consumer products process manufacturing systems to the plant floor
  • Interface with business and technical leaders
  • Implement improvement projects in Clorox's manufacturing and supply chain

What we look for:

  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and build relationships both vertically/horizontally within Clorox
  • Ability to identify and translate priorities into clear actionable tactics, effective organization and time management skills, multi-task well, set goals and achieve them
  • Strong aptitude for learning new systems and processes
  • Prior internship experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require current or future visa sponsorship for employment

Minimum Education Level/Degree:

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year university undergraduate degree program 
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Current Junior/Senior class standing (preferred)
  • GPA Required 3.0 or higher (preferred)
     

Additional Information:

The applicable pay range for this role in the U.S. is based on your work location according to the cost of labor in your area.

  • $21 - $25/hr.
