Who you are:

  • Currently a matriculated undergraduate OR matriculated graduate student
  • Pursuing a relevant course of study (Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, etc.)
  • A go getter looking for a hands-on opportunity in Electrical Engineering 
  • Available for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2027

What you'll be doing on the day to day:

  • Perform, under close supervision, routine aspects of electrical engineering, requiring knowledge and application of principles learned in course of study.
  • May use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform tasks.
  • Collect and prepare data for evaluation.
  • Assist in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations.
  • Provide support to staff members as needed.

Minimum Education & Experience Required

Must have completed sophomore year of Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or related program.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong desire to pursue a career in Electrical Engineering.
  • Solid analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills.
  • Resourceful and self-motivated.
  • Solid organizational skills with a focus on details.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with AutoCAD preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.
  • Previous internship experience and/or involvement as an active member of related professional student association a plus.                                         

Estimated Compensation Range and Benefits

$18.00 – 25.00/hr.*

*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
