About the Role

Summary of Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of this role is to support Lubrizol’s R&D efforts through conducting laboratory experiments, running tests and equipment, recording results with focus on high performance specialty polymers for the applications in paint, coating, color cosmetics, agrochemical, sustainable packaging.  This role will follow the guidance of the laboratory lead, contributing to innovative research and ensuring safe, efficient lab operations.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform laboratory work in accordance to procedures or as specified by mentor.
  • Conduct laboratory synthesis, evaluation, characterization and performance testing of organic and polymeric materials with supervision.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and prepare technical reports which highlight key results.
  • Keep the proper maintenance and operational safety of lab equipment.
  • Assist chemical, lab consumable procurement and chemical inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance to laboratory safety procedures and good housekeeping practices.

 

Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:

  • Minimum Year 2 university student in chemistry, polymer material or chemical engineering major.
  • Having hands-on experience in laboratory synthesis of organic and polymeric compounds is advantageous.  
  • Can do attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good organizational and communication abilities.
