About The Company
At Picnic, we’re a team of inventors, builders, dreamers, and best-in-class operators! With our app-only business model and custom-built in-house supply chain, we're revolutionizing the way people buy groceries and eat every day. We're growing across the Netherlands, Germany, France, and beyond. One of the things that makes Picnic different is that we handle almost everything ourselves: from forecasting and building automated warehouses to designing custom electric vehicles and writing our own software. It gives us total freedom to experiment with bold, new ideas (which we do a lot!). We love to challenge ourselves and learn by doing. The best way to grow here? By taking ownership from day one and pushing boundaries every single day. As a diverse team of over 85 nationalities, there’s always something happening - whether you’re into sports, board games, charity work, dancing at our legendary Picnic festival, or licorice tasting (yes, really!). Our scale-up culture means you get to own your work and bring fresh ideas to life. If you’re looking to make a real impact, reach out. We’d love to hear from you!
About the Role

In a nutshell

Our interns are responsible for finding the world's best talent and convincing them to join Picnic. You possess excellent writing skills, get excited when you find the right profiles, and know how best to inspire them for the challenges at Picnic. You understand the profiles we are looking for and know how crucial it is to find the right people for Picnic.

What you'll do

  • Requirements Analysis: You work closely with our recruiters and various internal stakeholders to understand the requirements of open vacancies.
  • Candidate Sourcing: You search for potential candidates and approach them using LinkedIn Search and other search techniques.
  • Talent Pipeline Building: You develop strategies to build talent pipelines.
  • Idea Generation: You bring ideas and input that positively impact our talent pipelines

We're looking for

  • You're currently studying HR management, psychology, business administration or similar and have at least one year left to study
  • You bring first experience in talent acquisition or a strong eagerness to get familiar with the field
  • You are ambitious and bring fresh, creative ideas to the table
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English, preferably also fluent in German
  • A true team player with strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail
  • A quick grasp of complex concepts, high energy, positivity and curiosity
  • Not afraid to take initiative, try new things, and proactively reach out to people
  • Willingness to work five days in our office in Düsseldorf

What you can look forward to

  • Kickstart your career: Join our international team in an environment that fosters real growth and an “Act like an Owner” mentality. Here, you’ll have the chance to drive projects independently, test new ideas, and see firsthand how your work makes an impact within our fast-growing company.
  • Fuel for Winners: Enjoy fresh, free breakfasts and lunches every day in our office, along with all the snacks and fruit you need to stay fueled.
  • Unforgettable Moments: From our legendary annual ski trip, our massive Christmas parties, to parties featuring our very own Picnic band, we make sure our milestones are celebrated in style.
  • A modern working space: Work from our newly renovated office built for collaboration, with flexible working hours and 30 vacation days (based on a 40-hour contract).
  • Well-being & Balance: Professional mental health support via OpenUp. Plus, our dog-friendly policy means your four-legged friend is a welcome guest upon request.
  • The Essentials: We provide the tools for success, including a laptop and access to exclusive Corporate Benefits discounts for travel, tech and more.
  • Sustainability at Core: Be part of the revolution. You’ll contribute to a greener future through our 100% electric fleet and a business model designed to drastically reduce food waste.
