About the Role

Description

TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is a growing company representing Mack Trucks, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Construction Equipment, along with being the Servicing Dealer for multiple other product lines that support the On Highway, Construction and Agriculture Industry.

Due to growth, we are currently looking to hire a Diesel Technician Intern.

Technicians must be willing to learn to:

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment, including but not limited to machinery, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems;
  • Carrying out necessary repairs and conducting more complex repairs to ensure proper functioning;
  • Troubleshooting and analyzing issues reported by drivers or operators, and providing effect solutions to address the problems;
  • Respond promptly to customer needs in a positive, supportive and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed;
  • Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer as needed;
  • Complete service reports, order parts and maintain clear customer records;

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn.
  • Enrollment in post secondary diesel technology program is a plus.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems and components, pneumatic, electrical and fuel systems.
  • Positive attitude and desire to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Computer, written and verbal communication skills.
