About the Role

Ozarks First in Springfield, MO offers in-person spring and fall opportunities for students to apply classroom theory to practical experience. Our internship program allows students to learn how we create content for broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms.

Our internships offer meaningful educational and work experience designed to meet the academic and career goals of the applicants. Our management and talented team will teach and encourage, but it’s up to the student to take initiative and bring their enthusiasm to learn.

In our program, you will be a participant, learning how we gather, produce, and deliver content to our audiences. You will work and learn from knowledgeable, friendly, generous teammates. Your internship experience here could significantly strengthen you as a candidate for full-time positions upon graduation. And if you are passionate about this field, you will have fun!

Internship Details:

  • Each internship is for 20-30 hours per week for up to 12 weeks.
  • You will get the opportunity to learn reporting, anchoring, producing (digital and broadcast), production/engineering, marketing, and sales. This is to help you understand how we operate and find out what you like best.
  • Will be well supervised and participate in a meaningful learning experience.
  • Upon completion of the internship, the student will be evaluated through a written review by the internship supervisor

Requirements & Skills:

  • Must be a senior in their last year of concentrated study
  • Be of an advanced skill level due to the complexity of projects
  • A collaborative worker with a willingness to learn
  • The intern is responsible for their transportation.
