What You’ll Do

As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers and project teams supporting electrical engineering design work. Throughout this 11-week internship program, you will: 

  • Assist with power distribution and lighting design
  • Support electrical load calculations and panel schedules
  • Participate in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary meetings
  • Attend site visits and observe construction progress
  • Review drawings and construction documentation
  • Learn about low-voltage systems, lighting controls, and energy-efficient design
  • Support project teams throughout various phases of design and construction


Software & Technical Skills You’ll Learn

Interns will gain hands-on experience using industry-standard electrical engineering software and tools, including:

  • Revit
  • AutoCAD
  • Bluebeam Revu
  • Microsoft Excel
  • BIM coordination tools


Qualifications

We're looking for driven students who are eager to grow their professional skills, contribute to real-life, meaningful projects, and be a part of a talented team. The following qualifications will help you succeed in this role: 

  • Currently enrolled as a junior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Interested in building systems and electrical infrastructure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communicator and collaborative team player
  • Eager to learn in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary AEC environment


Work Location

This is an onsite position based out of the following Core States Group offices: Somerville, NJ or Bentonville, AR.
