The Role and Impact
As a Facilities Engineering Undergraduate Intern, you will actively contribute to engineering tasks under the guidance of senior professionals. From analyzing systems to testing solutions, you will apply your academic knowledge to solve real-world challenges while ensuring accuracy and completeness in engineering records and documentation. This role provides hands-on experience and the opportunity to strengthen your skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment, directly impacting the efficiency and reliability of Intel's facilities operations.

Position 1: Project Engineering Intern
Key Responsibilities:
- Support tracking and coordination of small to medium-sized facilities/construction projects.
- Attend meetings and consolidate project updates from APAC and US sites.
- Develop and maintain reports/dashboard using Microsoft Power BI and other Microsoft tools.
- Support Safety Walk activities, including scheduling, attendance tracking, and follow-up of findings closure.
- Assist in managing project and engineering documentation.
- Support process improvement, reporting automation, and other tasks assigned by the team.
Position 2: Electrical Intern
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior engineers with analytical and testing tasks related to engineering projects to fix issue and improve electrical system reliability.
- Apply theoretical knowledge to solve basic engineering problems and develop solutions to solve the problem under Electrical System.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of engineering records, drawings, and documentation including Electrical POC tracking, CB setting, Arc-flash management, etc.
- Help maintain parts catalogs, owner's manuals, and operational instruction manuals for assigned systems.
- Support development of automation report, dashboard using Power BI & other Microsoft tools.
- Assist Energy Conservation Managers in daily tasks & Energy Saving project execution.
- Support Factory Shutdown Planning and Execution to perform major maintenance for Electrical system.
Position 3: Mechanical Intern
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior engineers with analytical and testing tasks to fix issue and improve system reliability: HVAC Heating Ventilating Air Conditioning, Oil-free air, Compressed Air, Vacuum systems. Chilled water plant (chillers, pumps, cooling towers), Exhaust Systems, DX systems.
- Apply theoretical knowledge to solve basic engineering problems and develop solutions to solve the problem under Mechanical System.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of engineering records, drawings, and documentation for Mechanical systems listed above.
- Help maintain parts catalogs, owner's manuals, and operational instruction manuals for assigned systems.
- Support development of automation report, dashboard using Power BI & other Microsoft tools.
- Assist Energy Conservation Managers in daily tasks & Energy Saving project execution.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications for 3 positions:
- Enrollment in 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate program in Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automation and Control Engineering.
- Demonstrated fluency in English for both written and verbal communication.
- Availability for a minimum of 6 months internship, prefer up to 01 year.
- Experience in Power BI, Microsoft 365, Power Automate, Power Apps, Microsoft Lists, SharePoint
Qualifications for position 1: Project Engineering Intern
- 3rd, 4th year bachelor student of Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
Qualifications for position 2: Electrical Intern
- 3rd, 4th year bachelor student of Engineering Degree/ in Electrical or power engineering.
- Candidate has knowledge of Low Voltage Systems, Medium Voltage System, UPS, genset will be added advantages.
Qualifications for position 3: Mechanical Intern
- 3rd, 4th year bachelor student of Mechanical Engineering or Thermal Engineering.
- Knowledge of Industrial HVAC, Compressed Air System, Exhaust, Vacuum, and pump systems is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with industrial maintenance programs.
- Experience using data analytics tool.
- Experience using problem solving tool: 5M+E, 5-Whys, Ishikawa chart, etc.
