About The Company
"Better Morning emerged as an outpatient counseling practice in Ashburn, VA and is home to passionate mental health professionals dedicated to helping others. Since our establishment in 2014, we have been committed to providing high quality, focused, professional services to individuals and families in the Northern Virginia and Washington DC area. In addition to providing counseling from the Ashburn office, Better Morning started off providing Community Based Intervention (CBI), level II and III, services to youth between the ages of 6 and 21. Better Morning adheres to the CBI practice guidelines as set forth by the Department of Behavioral health and accepts referrals from Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA), Court Social Services( CSS), Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services( DYRS). In August of 2017, Better Morning expanded, becoming certified by the DC Department of Behavioral Health to operate as a Core Service Agency (CSA) to serve the needs of people with mental illnesses in the District of Columbia. This allowed us to begin providing a range of services to those living with mental illnesses including community support services to assist with learning the skills necessary to manage daily life and successfully achieve their goals. Better Morning also provides individual, couple, family and group counseling, assistance with obtaining housing support and, psychiatric services for medication management when needed. Our CSA services are offered out of our DC office located at 4545 42nd St. NW."​
About the Role

Company Description

Better Morning emerged as an outpatient behavioral health practice in Ashburn, VA in the year of 2014.

In addition to providing counseling from the Ashburn office, Better Morning started off as a certified provider for intensive in home and community-based services (IHCBS), for at risk youth in District of Columbia.

In August of 2017, Better Morning was certified as a Core service agency (CSA) by DC Department of Behavioral Health. Better morning founder’s passion for at risk youth and their family were the motivation to keep expanding the evidenced based programs to meet the need of the underserved population.

Job Description

Assist with routine review of clinical and administrative records for required documentation.
Review charts for completeness of assessments, treatment plans, consents, progress notes, authorizations, CAFAS/DLA-20 and other required documents.
Maintain compliance tracking spreadsheets and audit logs.
Assist with tracking missing or expired documentation.
Support preparation for DBH, CARF, DHCF and other regulatory audits.
Organize compliance documents and evidence for internal and external reviews.
Assist with monitoring corrective-action items and follow-up deadlines.
Help maintain compliance calendars and reminders.
Identify documentation discrepancies and bring them to the Compliance/QI supervisor’s attention.
Assist with monitoring staff completion of required compliance activities and training.

Quality Improvement

Assist with monthly and quarterly QI audits.
Enter and organize QI data and audit findings.
Assist with identifying trends, recurring documentation issues, and service-delivery concerns.
Prepare basic charts, spreadsheets, and reports for QI meetings.
Assist with tracking QI indicators and performance goals.
Support consumer satisfaction survey collection and analysis.
Assist with reviewing grievances, incidents, complaints, and service concerns for tracking purposes.
Help monitor corrective-action and performance-improvement plans.
Assist with preparing materials for QI Committee meetings.
Support process-improvement projects designed to improve documentation, service quality, and consumer outcomes.

Administrative/Data Support

Maintain confidential electronic files in accordance with organizational policies.
Use Excel/Google Sheets or other systems to organize compliance and QI information.
Assist with data entry and reconciliation.
Prepare weekly/monthly compliance reports for the supervisor.
Participate in compliance/QI meetings and document assigned action items.
Maintain strict confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
 

Qualifications

Baschelo's in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, Business Administration, Health Information Management,

Additional Information

Job Types: Part-time, Contract ( at least 20 hours/week)

Pay: $22.00 - $25 per hour based on experience
