JOB SUMMARY: This intern will support the communications leader with various tasks, such as creating and editing internal and external communications, developing presentations and communication materials, assisting with social media and digital content, supporting company events and initiatives, and helping ensure consistent messaging across the organization.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Create, edit, and proofread internal and external communications

· Assist with developing presentations, newsletters, announcements, and other communication materials

· Support social media and digital communication initiatives

· Assist with company events, campaigns, and organizational communications

· Research communication trends and best practices to support communications initiatives

· Organize communication materials, content, and supporting documentation

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  

QUALIFICATIONS: 

· Candidates should be entering their junior or senior year of college with at least a 3.00 GPA

· Pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related area of study

· Be a self-starter with the ability to learn new concepts quickly

· Exhibits strong writing, editing, and communication skills

· Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills

· These positions are required to be in-office, so candidates must have reliable transportation


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting      at a desk and working on a computer
  • Continually      required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Continually utilize visual      acuity to operate equipment, read
         technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
