DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker International is seeking Entry-Level Civil Engineering Associates to support our Texas offices. In this position, you will primarily be responsible for civil design and analysis of civil engineering and infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and drainage projects, depending on availability/interest. You will leverage your engineering knowledge and skills to prepare basic studies, construction documents, drawing, maps, reposts and supporting documentation and calculations. 

This opportunity is open to all students seeking an internship within Civil Engineering, with special consideration to students interested in Drainage, Bridge, and Highway. Possible work locations include Houston, Dallas, Austin, or San Antonio, TX.

 PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering at an accredited university required. 
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months required.
  • 0-2 years of highway design and engineering experience
  • Prior experience working with DOT design standards, practices, and procedures is a plus.
  • Experience with 3D modeling, Bentley OpenRoads is a plus.

COMPENSATION

The approximate compensation range for this position is $69,267 - $98,887 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.  Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
