TRUMPF is seeking candidates for an internship in the Assembly Department at our Farmington, CT location. This internship will provide a college-level student with practical and professional experience that will enhance and compliment their classroom learning.

Internship Duatlon: Onsite in Farmington, CT from January 2027 to August 2027 for at least 32 hours a week.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Develop concepts to improve a lean production system.

·         Understand lean, JIT or Kaizen Theory

·         Must be able to work as part of a team

·         Must be able to run SYNCHRO workshops and events after initial training program

·         Write Assembly documentation

·         Perform Time Studies of complicated assemblies

·         Chart and Report on area improvements

Experience:

 

An understanding of modern assembly operations and the techniques that make them successful.

Experience in working with lean manufacturing techniques, JIT (Just in time) principles, Kaizen ideas is beneficial.

knowledge of quality control

Good communication skills are required

 

Education:

must currently be enrolled in an accredited university with a study in Mechanical Engineering or related field
