SUMMARY:
Ag Partners Cooperative’s Internship Program provides a hands-on experience that relates the classroom to the workplace. A project assignment for each intern, developed by their mentor, gives them a chance to make a real impact on our business and grow their professional portfolio. Final projects are presented to the leadership team and intern mentors at the end of the summer. We hope this experience is an avenue to grow our talent pool and workplace network.
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 2027 Summer Internship (May – July)
- Agronomy (location varies depending on mentor availability and intern desires)
- Develop and demonstrate agronomic skills such as weed, insect, and disease identification, as well as crop nutrient and protection recommendations through soil and tissue sampling.
- Maintain field plots: Raise field signs and record agronomic crop information.
- Shadow customer calls/visits to determine agronomy needs.
- Utilize crop scouting software, weekly reports, and tech tools to document and share observations.
- Assist with field trial research, data collection, and product development programs & promotions
- Operations Specialist (location varies depending on mentor availability and intern desires)
- Supporting daily operations by loading and unloading grain, fertilizer, and feed, and operating equipment.
- Maintaining facilities, equipment, and anhydrous systems through routine maintenance and housekeeping.
- Providing excellent customer service while following company policies, safety standards, and cooperative procedures.
- Working collaboratively with team members across locations and performing other duties as assigned.
- Marketing & Communications (Seneca KS / Hybrid Remote)
- Create and publish media content across digital, print, and broadcast mediums
- Develop and distribute social media content
- Assist in managing the company website & customer platforms
- Video and photography development and editing
- Coordinate with all departments to provide promotions and updates to employee & customers
- Energy Accounting Specialist (Sabetha, KS)
- Assisting in the propane contract process. Help coordinate the printing/mailing/address list. Develop a tracking mechanism/spreadsheet for when contracts are returned. Help with any data entry and tracking after propane contracts are distributed.
- Assistingwith any spreadsheet work.Changingoil pricingwhen it isnecessary.Updating oil pricing in stores. Helping create new signage and ways to communicate the price change.
- Updating sales tax exemption formsthat are on file. Updating forms for customers.
- Assisting around the office in any way that is needed.
