The Pellet Technology USA Mission: To optimize agricultural resources by building a bridge of consistent and quality products for the new biomass economy while supporting our nation’s agricultural roots. Pellet Technology USA is a Next Generation Manufacturer of Bio-Based Products like dried distillers grains with solubles (DDGS) and corn stover. The company produces high quality DDGS range cubes and other types of nutritious animal feed pellets.
About the Role

POSITION PURPOSE:

This position requires proactive individual who can work independently as well as with other members of the ICM team. The intern will work in our Project Management department and should possess a working knowledge of the fundamentals of Construction Science. This is a hands-on opportunity to work as part of a cross-disciplinary team made up of engineers, project managers, scientists, sales, and business professionals.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES: 

  1. Assist Project Management to develop preliminary estimates.
  2. Create preliminary construction schedules.
  3. Coordinate with Design Engineers to develop and complete design deliverables.
  4. Review preliminary plans and specifications.
  5. Coordinate approval of subcontractors, develop scopes of work and create and coordinate bid packages.
  6. Complete preliminary drafts of subcontract agreements for supervisor review.
  7. Assist with preliminary material and equipment take-offs.
  8. Order, track, and expedite equipment as directed by Project Management.
  9. Work with Project Management to respond to daily RFI’s.
  10. Assist Field Staff with tracking of external man-hours.
  11. Periodically travel to job site to complete field engineering responsibilities as needed.
  12. Work to understand complex functional situations by paying attention to the details of the tasks at hand.
  13. Proactively develop and maintain a broad knowledge of the technical disciplines in the functional area.
  14. Use subject matter / functional expertise, influence, and process skills to help internal customers identify and meet their high priority needs.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Must be currently enrolled as a student in a public or accredited private academic institution with focus on construction management, engineering, or related degree

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiar with AutoCAD, MS Project, Procore and Navisworks preferred
  • Knowledge of general office equipment
