Job Description

Join Jack Link's as an IT Business Intern for Summer 2027!  

As an IT Business intern, you will have the opportunity to gain relevant, hands-on experience while being embedded within Jack Link’s global, collaborative, and exciting IT Team! You will work with both IT and Business stakeholders, focusing either on Sales or Finance, improving business processes, surfacing challenges, and helping deliver IT projects and process-based solutions. Working with world-leading enterprise software solutions such as Salesforce, SAP, PowerBI, and others, you will shepherd IT work from concept to delivery, partnering with global business and technical teams across the U.S, Canada, Europe and Latin America!  The role is typically a blend of system support and data management, partner assistance and training, and project work.  Business acumen and people skills are more critical than technical ability. 

Depending on the intern’s area of interest, projects may focus on automating manual processes, working with Salesforce or SAP enhancements, building reports to deliver new ‘Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to business leaders, gathering business requirements and evaluating software solutions and related work. At the completion of your internship, you will deliver a final presentation on your internship experience to many of the IT, Business and Executives that you worked with during your internship.   

 Primary IT Business Intern responsibilities include: 

  • Provide project and functional support for Sales and/or Finance Teams in the deployment or support of enterprise software systems such as SAP, Salesforce and similar. 

  • Collaborate with IT Business Relationship Managers and various business partners to document requirements and user stories, organize and perform systems testing, develop and maintain training materials and process documentation, and related activities. 

  • Work as part of a development team to support existing technology and deliver new functionality and enhancements. 

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary. 

  • Deliver a final presentation to the Link Snacks leadership team, summarizing your experience and highlighting your contributions. 

Qualifications

Experience with the following is preferred: 

  • Academic focus in Business, Applied Mathematics, Information Technology, Finance or Analytics 
  • Sales and/or Finance and/or Accounting interest and aptitude 
  • Team player with a “can do” attitude 
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills 
  • Able to think critically to break large problems into smaller, quicker, achievable wins. 
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints. 
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment. 
  • Exposure to or a willingness to learn, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), testing and documentation using applicable methodologies. 
  • Ability to work with an iterative, incremental and professional IT environment. 
  • Strong preference for candidates within a commutable distance to Minneapolis, MN 

Additional Information

The hiring range for this role is $22 to $24 per hour for a Bachelor's degree candidate and $29 per hour for a Master's degree candidate. Actual wages will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is a plant/office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet/slippery floors. However, the vast amount of work is conducted in a climate-controlled office. Travel may be required.
