Job Summary
This position will primarily focus on compliance operations and contribute to defined projects that strengthen how Cabot’s Legal and Compliance team documents and carries out its contractual, disclosure, training, record-management, and legal entity management responsibilities. Working alongside the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer, General Counsel, and other team members, this role offers practical exposure to Compliance functions of a global private equity real estate investment firm, including how regulatory requirements are operationalized within a firm, including processes, systems, and controls.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Review and update information maintained in existing Compliance systems, including confirming assignments and flagging apparent inconsistencies or follow-up items.
- Compile and organize information from existing documents and materials to develop new Legal and Compliance libraries, reference tools, and other internal resources.
- Help define and develop new processes and information resources, including how relevant materials should be collected, categorized, described, located, and maintained.
- Help implement legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements identified in collaboration with senior team members through practical processes, controls, checklists, guidance, and other internal resources.
- Support the development and improvement of systems used to document, assign, track, and maintain legal and compliance responsibilities and records.
- Assist with organizing contracts, disclosures, and other Legal and Compliance materials so that relevant information and supporting documentation can be located, evaluated, and used consistently.
- Develop written guidance, training materials, and other internal resources that communicate legal and compliance requirements clearly and effectively.
- Use approved technology, including artificial intelligence tools, to support projects under the supervision of senior team members.
- Perform other Legal and Compliance projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong record of academic performance, with a preferred graduation year of 2028.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Proficiency with Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Access).
- Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies, missing information, and unclear responsibilities.
- Comfort learning new technology platforms and using approved artificial intelligence tools under appropriate supervision.
- Works effectively and cooperatively as a member of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, track open items, and follow through on assigned responsibilities.
- Sound judgment and discretion when working with confidential legal, contractual, employee, and investor information.

- Co-op/internship conducted primarily in a professional office environment.
- Frequent use of computers and digital communication platforms.
