Summer Placement Duration: May to August 2027

How you’ll make an impact 

Work as a summer student in the FCC Capital division and support a team committed to helping the agriculture industry succeed. You’ll gain hands-on experience with investment and ecosystem support programs while contributing to meaningful work that helps drive innovation and growth in Canadian agriculture. This four-month work placement runs from May to August and is available in Regina, Saskatoon, Montreal and Toronto. 

You’ll support a variety of investment-related activities, including pipeline development, opportunity screening, due diligence, reporting and research. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail will help the team identify opportunities, assess partnerships and support strategic decision-making.

What you’ll do 

  • Support pipeline development, management and analysis 

  • Contribute to the due diligence process 

  • Screen co-investment opportunities 

  • Support reporting requirements 

  • Complete ad hoc research and projects 

  • Support ecosystem market mapping 

  • Assess and research potential partnerships 

What you’ll bring to the team 

Required qualifications: 

  • Strong communication skills and a team-first approach 

  • Versatility, confidence and the ability to be coached, with a desire to learn and succeed 

  • Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks 

  • A rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentation 

  • Demonstrated curiosity about technology, innovation and entrepreneurship 

  • Passion for positive social and environmental impact 

Preferred qualifications:  

  • Enrolment in a degree program in commerce, business administration, finance or economics 

  • Completion of at least one year of a post-secondary degree program 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint 

  • Basic administration skills
