The Houlihan Lokey Corporate Finance business has extensive expertise in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, activist shareholder and takeover defense, and other related advisory services for a broad range of clients. In addition, we have the proven ability to engineer and execute financing solutions that are essential for growth and success and offer access to financing in the public and alternative capital markets through the issuance of debt, equity, or hybrid securities. Houlihan Lokey offers 6-month internship opportunities throughout the year in our Paris office. Please note that we are currently hiring for January and March 2027 slots only, and all candidates must submit a formal application via Workday in order to be considered for the role.

Responsibilities

This internship is an excellent opportunity to work alongside investment bankers in a stimulating environment on M&A advisory assignments for your assigned sector team (across either Business Services, Consumer, Healthcare, Industrials, or Technology sectors).

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job training. Throughout your internship you will get similar levels of exposure as a first-year analyst, assisting in the preparation of materials for clients and conducting market, industry, and company analyses. Furthermore, you will gain experience in financial modelling, valuation analyses, and supporting the due diligence processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • You must be completing or recently graduated with a Bachelor's or Master’s degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in both English and French required (additional language skills are also advantageous)
  • 6+ months of previous internship experience within M&A and/or related fields
  • Understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
  • Strong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure with attention to detail
  • Good proficiency with MS Office particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • You must be motivated and have the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing, demanding, but ultimately rewarding environment
